What we pack for you
Our packing team takes on the entire household contents or exactly the parts you are dreading. Crockery and glassware go piece by piece into packing paper, books into sturdy boxes that are not too heavy. Clothes travel hanging in wardrobe boxes, so everything can go straight into the wardrobe at your new address.
Paintings, mirrors, lamps and other fragile items get their own protective material. What comes as standard:
- Moving boxes, packing paper and protective material delivered to your home beforehand
- Every box labelled with the room at your new address
- Unpacking into the cupboards and rooms you point out
- Empty boxes and material collected again afterwards
Packing service The Hague: how we go about it
You request a quote via the form or give us a call; you will hear from us within 24 hours. We then visit your home without obligation or do a video walkthrough. That shows us how much needs to be packed, what is fragile and which cupboards need to be emptied.
You receive a fixed price that covers the packing, the material and the move itself. Beforehand we deliver the boxes and packing material to your home. On the agreed day our team packs, on moving day we drive, and at your new address we unpack and walk through the home together with you.
Only when the last box is empty and everything is in its place are we finished.
Packing in an international city with compact homes
The Hague is an international city: many people come here to work for an embassy, an international organisation or the national government, and move on again after a few years. Anyone moving for work rarely has weeks to fill boxes. We pack while you carry on working, and at your new address we unpack so that you live there rather than camp there.
In the city centre and Zeeheldenkwartier many homes are compact: upstairs apartments and subdivided townhouses with narrow hallways and little room for a stack of full boxes. That is where efficient packing counts: room by room, stacked so you can still get past, and on moving day down the stairs or into the moving lift (furniture hoist) in one go.
